How to Vote

Make sure your vote counts on May 16th

First, get registered if you are not already:

  • You have three options:
    • Register be completing this form and mailing it to Bonneville County Elections, 605 N Capital Ave., Idaho Falls, ID 83402  so that it arrives by April 21st. 
    • Register by going into the Bonneville County Elections at 825 Shoup Ave., Idaho Falls between 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday by April 21st.
    • Register the day of the election, May 16th, by going to your polling place.
    • Note: You will need to provide at your polling place a a copy of a current and valid photo identification or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or government document that shows your name and address.

Second, cast a ballot one of three ways:

  • Have an absentee ballot mailed to your home by filling out this form and mailing it to Bonneville County Elections at 605 N Capital Ave., Idaho Falls, ID 83402 or delivering it to Bonneville County Elections at 825 Shoup Ave., Idaho Falls. Request must be received by May 5th. Once you get your ballot, make sure you mail it in to arrive by election day!
  • Cast an early vote by going into the Bonneville County Elections at 825 Shoup Ave., Idaho Falls between May 1st through May 12th, from 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • On the day of the election, May 16th, by going to your polling place between 8 am to 8 pm. Find your polling place here.
